As a Rockefeller Commission is at present in this country and 205

is being entertained by the Government in connection with the

work of the Foundation in British colonies, the time is opportuns

for the consideration of some scheme for the development," with

the cooperation of the Rockefeller Foundation, of a medical centre

at Hong Kong where the students of South China may obtain a

training second to none, and where facilities for medical research

into local conditions will also be afforded.

This help and cooperation is more likely to be forthcoming if the

Rockefeller Foundation feels that the British Government at home

realises the importance of providing such a centre and is

prepared to stand behind the scheme.
